Mastering the use of a shield is rather simple, but it also requires patience and time. The shield is held in the off hand from whatever weapon the user is wielding, but cannot be used to attack. [classy=title]leather equipment[/classy]Leather equipment is light leather armor that has very little protection. It is usually made into jackets, coats, vests, and the like. However, they can also be made into other garments. Leather armor allows the user to use cloth materials, and has the potential to provide very high protection depending on the materials used to make the armor. It has the lowest value of all the equipment, but allows the user to move much faster than the heavier equipment. [classy=title]light metal equipment[/classy]Light Metal equipment allows slight protection when wearing leather material. There are certain pieces of armor that protect parts of the human body. Such as a breastplate, shin guards, and gauntlets. The higher the skill level for this type equipment, the easier they will be able to move when wearing it. However, light metal equipment is heavier than leather, so the user will move slower than someone wearing leather equipment. [classy=title]heavy metal equipment[/classy]Heavy Metal equipment basically has the user wear a full suit of armor. This provides higher protection, but it drastically slows down the user's movements. A high strength stat is required to wear heavy metal armor. The higher the skill level is for this type of equipment, the more comfortable the user will be while wearing it. [STYLE=margin-top: -30px; font-family: 'arial narrow'; font-size: 25px; color: #484848; letter-spacing: -3px; padding-left: 1px;] THE SKILLS LIST[/style][STYLE=background-color: #b888b1; font-family: arial narrow; font-size: 11px; color: D8D8D8; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: center; width: 100%; margin-top: -5px;]other. other. other.[/style]
⤷ ACROBATICS,, This skill allows the user to perform incredible stunts. Such as tumbling, leaping, and wall climbing. Starting out extremely weak, the skill will grow stronger and over time, you will be able to perform extravagant stunts. Examples of said stunts are back flips, side flips, front flips, high leaping, and the ability to correct one's self in the air in order to land on their feet and take no fall damage.
⤷ APPRAISAL,, The Appraisal skill allows the user to get an approximate value of items. The higher the skill level, the more accurate the appraisal will be. A user with a maxed out Appraisal skill will be able to be 100% accurate when it comes to the figuring out value of items that are found.
⤷ BEAST TAMING,, This skill allows the user to tame wild creatures to accompany and fight beside them. It is an extremely challenging skill, as the user must be alone with the creature they are taming in order to form a strong bond with it. Doing this makes it the most dangerous skill as well.
⤷ FISHING,, This skill allows the user to catch fish in various bodies of water, such as lakes and rivers. Things other than fish can also be caught, and fish provide more uses rather than a meal. Once a user is equipped with this skill, they are a given a free fishing pole. The higher the skill level, the stronger the fishing pole will become. (NOTE: THE FISHING POLE IS NOT TO BE USED AS A WEAPON!!)
⤷ HIDING,, Hiding allows the user to make their presence unknown by anyone or anything such as players or monsters. This skill does NOT work on NPCs unless they are monsters. The higher the skill level, the less likely that the user will be detected by enemy eyes.
⤷ NIGHT VISION,, The Night Vision skill turns the users vision an ultra-violet green (also tints the user's eyes an ultra-violet green). This allows them to see better in dark places such as caves, and at night. The higher the skill level for Night Vision, allows the user to see better in darker places. A player with a maxed out night vision skill, will be able to see in perpetual darkness (unless it is a monster's skill causing the darkness).
⤷ PARRYING,, This skill basically allows the user to block incoming attacks by deflecting the weapon that is initiating the first move. This skill is guaranteed to not work every time, and at a low skill level, there is a chance of knock back damage to the user. The higher the skill level, it can cause both the user and the enemy to be knocked backward and inflict minor damage.
⤷ PERCEPTION,, The Perception skill allows the user to hear, see, or smell what is taking place in their surroundings. A low level player with this skill will only be able to sense very obvious occurrences. The higher the skill level, the less obvious things the player will notice. A player with a maxed out Perception skill will able to see hidden areas, hear hidden players or monsters, and smell certain odors, such as poison.
⤷ PERFORM,, This skill is only for entertainment services. It allows the user to sing, dance, or play a musical instrument. The higher the skill level, the more superb the performance. A player with a low skill level will often require an NPC tutor.
⤷ SPRINT,, This skill allows the user to run at incredible speeds. However, even when the skill is maxed out, the running speed will not be so fast as to make the user unable to be seen. The higher the skill level, the faster the user will be able to run.
⤷ TRACKING,, The Tracking skill allows the user to look for other players that are either on your friend's list, in your guild, or if they have a bounty on their head. At a low level, this skill will cause everything and everyone in front of you to become tinted a dark shade of gray, and will cause bright green footprints that belong to whoever the user is looking for, to appear on the ground pointing in the direction they went. However, they will fade and will not continue more than a few feet. The higher the skill level, the longer the footprints will last. A user with a maxed out Tracking skill will be able to follow the footprints right to the other player.
